California Proposition 65

California’s Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings when products may expose consumers to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

Certain QSC products or components may contain one or more substances included on the Proposition 65 list, which is maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA). These substances may be present in materials or manufacturing processes commonly used in the electronics and professional audio industries.

In compliance with California law, QSC places Proposition 65 warnings on relevant products. Due to the nature of global manufacturing, distribution, and third‑party resale channels, QSC may not have visibility into or control over the ultimate geographic destination of individual products. As a result, Proposition 65 warnings may appear on products sold both within and outside of California.

The presence of a Proposition 65 warning does not mean that a product is unsafe or that it violates applicable safety standards. QSC is committed to product safety, quality, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
