    Touring Duo Thankful for K12

We are Garcia and Scott, a full-time, Nashville-based, Indie acoustic duo. We are currently performing 120 - 150 dates a year at theaters, opera houses, concert series, fairs and festivals in 10 states so far. We may be an acoustic duo, but we play hard and we often play loud. Since 2009, we’ve been using QSC K12s and have had them in every situation imaginable inside and out. Bitter cold, blazing sun, wind and unexpected rain. We’ve set them up, torn them down, loaded and unloaded them nearly a thousand times and they’ve NEVER failed to deliver. Our sound is always natural, warm and rich. Never harsh. In fact, our QSCs have become an integral part of our sound. We simply wanted to say, “Thank You” to all the folks at QSC for designing such a phenomenal, dependable and affordable speaker. This is our living and it’s nice to never have to worry about the…

Gigging with TouchMix and K Family - Bob Bonnen

I'm mostly a solo performer, sometimes a duo or trio. Vocals, acoustic guitar, and harmonica playing at upscale resorts, private parties and corporate events. I've been a professional musician with performing as my sole source of income since 1989, and do from 3-6 gigs a week. I regularly do indoor or outdoor events with 20 - 250 people so I need a flexible sound system for different environments. I do my own setup and run my own sound. Currently I'm using QSC TouchMix-16 with two KW122 speakers and one K10 speaker. I may use any combination of speakers depending on the gig. The K10 is small, lightweight and powerful with a very clean sound. It is ideal for portability, small gigs, and even outside work with the threat of weather which can turn quickly here in Florida. With the TouchMix and K10 setup and 3 big plastic bags I can secure my gear against rain in about…
