Making every seat the best seat in the house.
Modern cinema architecture places seats closer to surrounds, causing the audience to hear localized sources rather than the proper diffuse sound field. Dolby® Digital Surround EX and DTS-ES® formats also place unprecedented output level demands on these speakers, which can only be compensated for by grouping them closer together at greater cost. QSC SR-26 and SR-46 surrounds address these problems by using large, high-frequency horns and low-frequency transducer arrays to form a narrow vertical coverage pattern that projects energy further into the auditorium without overwhelming those seated in the back rows. This creates a properly diffuse sound field with consistent listening levels at no added expense.

QSC surrounds feature solid plywood enclosures with a built-in 15° down-angle baffle and a beveled back panel that adds another 8° for rear-wall mounting in stadium theatres.Completing the picture with superior sound.
QSC manufactures four advanced surround loudspeaker systems featuring Array Optimized Tuning for optimum frequency response and larger, high-frequency horns that maintain proper pattern control down to lower frequencies. The SR-18 with 8" and SR-110B with 10" low-frequency drivers, provide broad vertical coverage, while the SR-26 and SR-46 with groups of two and four 6.5" low-frequency drivers respectively, offer narrow vertical coverage.
QSC surrounds join its screen channel and subwoofer series in creating the most
complete selection of cinema-specific speakers in the industry.

Available in two configurations for hanging surrounds straight or slanted at 8°, QSC's exclusive Quick Mount brackets (PDF) provide an attractive alternative for quick and easy installation.*
Step 1: Pre-install wall mount portion of Quick Mount brackets to the wall.
Step 2: Suspend speakers using bracket portions pre-attached at factory.
Step 3: Connect wiring and conceal it neatly with the convenient cover. *Conventional yoke/C-mount brackets (PDF) are also available.
