Love it

Finally a column speaker I really like. The clarity we needed with the ease of setup and clean look from a column. Perfect for our typical 150-200 person weddings. Thanks for making them in white!

Big sound and a back saver

After the 3rd time loading the K Column into my car after a long gig I realized my life was going to be significantly easier. I’ve been using QSC for 6-7 years (mostly K12.2 x 2 + KSub + Touchmix-16) for corporate gigs, weddings and house concerts/parties as an acoustic singer songwriter with solo/duo/trio set ups and it’s been awesome and ideal sound but it does get heavy and sometimes more exhausting. The K Column gives all the sound quality plus the extra wide spread, on top of being much lighter and easy to transport and set up. Music to my vertebrae.

Blown away

I’m utterly impressed by the overall power and sound that comes from this attractive speaker setup. I’ve always been a QSC fan, but never totally sold on column style speakers for large events. I’m now a believer!

Best new speaker!!!

The KC12 is faaaar superior to any other speaker on the market. The dynamics in tone and clarity covering the low end with the sub and high/mid frequency drivers on top always makes me sound powerful yet not overpowering as a soloist and can support the sound needs of not only me but my entire band. The ultimate one stop shop! The Bluetooth capabilities are an added bonus when I need to switch on break music.

I was lost but now am found!

This is by far my favorite piece of equipment from QSC! My set up is a that of a one-man band and requires lots of low end. I didn’t have enough room to carry a sub woofer, but with this new legendary piece of equipment I can get the sound I’ve always dreamed of! Much love QSC!

The QSC KC12 is an absolute powerhouse! Crystal-clear sound, deep bass, and incredible versatility make it perfect for any event or performance. No matter the venue, it delivers unmatched clarity and punch. Built like a tank, yet lightweight and easy to transport. QSC nailed it again—highly recommended!

Muddy top end solved - finally!

I’ve considered, then passed on, column speaker systems many times. Cost vs performance just didn’t line up, with the limited live band usages killing consideration. The low and mid sounds were ok, but the highs sounded… fake. Harsh and processed, and not comparable to a good 3 way system. I discovered the K-Column almost by accident while shopping other systems. In every comparison, when the sound was switched to the KC12, it sounded as if someone took a blanket off the high end. Cleaner, clearer and natural sound, even though the upper column looked smaller… sometimes much smaller. I do have a larger 3 way PA, I should mention, so I was looking for something to cover the small to medium venues. I ordered one, and it sounded good in tests. Deceptively loud because it’s not distorting, it had plenty of lows to go with the very clear highs. It projected well, even outdoors. The real test, however, is using them in your real world gigging environment. So, with a gig scheduled the next day (two singers, two electric guitars, full band backing tracks) I decided to put it to the ”trial by fire” in front of an audience. It passed with flying colors, covering a surprisingly wide area with only one column. Video recordings far off axis were super clear in the vocal range where other columns had been just loud. So, how did I like it? I ordered a second column. That should say it all. With two, I’m wondering if the KC12 column couldn’t handle even our larger dates. Time will tell! One final point: set up and tear down was a breath of fresh air after loading heavy subs and tops for years. I’ve been gigging in bands since the 70s, and this was the fastest and least back-breaking PA setup ever. I truly enjoyed this aspect much more than anticipated!

Unbelievable!

tried out a *lot* of column systems with my FR8x/BK7m combination. i also sing 95% of the time (middle of the road rock/CCR/60s/70s/country). My regular set up is a pair of QSC 10.2 for the top, and a QSC KS112 subwoofer. i loved my sound, and couldn't quite match it with any of the Bose column systems, from the entry level right up to the "pro" 32 systems. I tried the Evolve and the JBL systems too, with no satisfaction. I was kind of resigned to speaker stands, lifting speakers over my shoulders on the stands, lifting that heavy subwoofer (70 lbs) into the car, cords all over the place... all that just to get the sound that i liked, especially from the bass. But thanx to Tom Lee Music, which has a 30 day refund policy (so you can take something home and really put it through its' paces), i decided to try out the new QSC KC12 column system, released in just last January. This is a tri level system, with a 12" sub, 2x4 inch mids, and a horn, and 3000 watts of power (2000 to the bottom, 1000 to the top). Unbelievable. I took it out of the box, plugged it in and left it with the factory settings. Within just a few bars of one song, i knew i had replaced all that other gear. The clearness and crispness of the highs let me finally hear all those harmonies from my Roland VE500 harmonizer. And i couldn't believe that i could hear my voice low notes...i think i've extended my range by a minor 3rd between the lows and highs i can now hear cleanly. And i actually had to back the bass off! Factory setting was "BOOST" and i reset it to "BALANCED"...perfect!!! Pricey, yes. BUT...the Bose Pro L1 32 is about $500 more, and i didn't like the sound i was getting from it. (btw, i'm in Canada) I love the QSC equipment, and if you're in the market for a column system, you have GOT to give it a shot. BTW...i am not associated at all with QSC, i'm just really really excited about my new gear and absolutely thrilled with the sound! my gear list: Soundcraft 12 mixer, Roland VE500 harmonizer, FR8x, BK7m, Shure 87A condenser mic, and now of course, QSC KC12.

Sleek. Powerful. Essential. My Experience with QSC K Columns

As a mobile DJ, I was thrilled when QSC announced the K Column speakers. I've been using QSC gear since I started my live music career in 2015, so I didn’t hesitate to purchase these—without even listening first—and I’m glad I did. These speakers absolutely deliver. I constantly get compliments on their sleek appearance and impressive sound quality, and the portability is unbeatable. My setup time has been cut down by 30 to 45 minutes, which is a huge win. I can’t recommend them enough. They’ve become an essential part of my weekly rig, and I genuinely look forward to using them every time I head out.
