SOFTWARE/HARDWARE FIREWALL SETTINGS: For communication between QSControl.net and any configured devices the firewall MUST be properly configured or disabled. To properly configure your firewall, unblock the following ports:
- UDP port 2501 for QSControl.net Venue Service or third party communications with CM16a products.
- TCP ports 4444 and 4445 for communications between QSControl.net Venue Service and BASIS Platform Products.
- TCP port 4446 for third party communications with BASIS Platform Products.
- TCP port 9000 for communication between a QSControl.net Venue Manager Remote Client and a local QSControl.net Venue Service communicating with BASIS Platform Products or CM16a products.
NOTE: Windows XP with Service Pack 2 includes a software firewall that is enabled by default.
WINDOWS AUTOMATIC UPDATE SETTINGS: If the system is used for real-time adjustments, monitoring or configuration of audio systems, then automatic updates (located in the Windows Control Panel) MUST be configured for manual updates or be disabled.
WINDOWS POWER MANAGEMENT SETTINGS: If the system is used for real-time adjustments, monitoring or configuration of audio systems, then we recommend all Windows Power Options (located in the Windows Control Panel) be disabled. Display, hard drive, system standby and hibernation settings should be set to “Never”. This avoids waiting for the system to “wake-up” if adjustment is needed after an elapsed period of time.
THIRD PARTY CONTROL: You must not exceed three third party connections to a Basis Platform Product at any given time.
