Costa Mesa, CA- QSC Audio Products has received TEC Award nominations for outstanding technical achievement in product design innovation and sound production for its KLA Series Active Line Array System as well as the GX Amplifier new GX7 Power Amplifier.

Nominated in the TEC Award category of Sound Reinforcement and Loudspeaker Technology, the KLA Series is the latest addition to the renowned House of K Family of active loudspeakers. The series is comprised of two models, the KLA12, a 12-inch, 2-way, line array element and the KLA181, an 18-inch direct radiating subwoofer. KLA12 is an 18-degree fixed-arcuate line array element allowing installers to create a 90 X 90 degree array using only five KLA12 enclosures. KLA Series innovations include Ar-Q™ (Arcuate Equalization) tuning and configuration and the SOLO™ (Single Operator Logistics) rigging system. Ar-Q™ allows the user to quickly and easily apply the correct equalization and other processing for a given array size simply by turning a dial, virtually eliminating tuning and configuration errors. With the SOLO™ rigging system, a KLA system can be deployed in a fraction of the time of comparable line array systems without the use of special tools or rigging hardware.

The GX7 Power Amplifier, receiving its nomination in the new TEC Award category for Amplification Hardware/Studio & Sound Reinforcement, is ideal for professional entertainers who require performance and portability at a reasonable price point. The most powerful amp in the GX Series (1000 W @ 4 ohms, both channels driven), the GX7 weighs a mere 15.5 lbs, while providing multiple connection options, a built-in crossover, and GuardRail™ protection.
